Re: Fantasy Tour de France 2019
Well done everyone, I didn't fucking finish last either!!
What an amazing TDF despite a couple of hiccups.
Plenty of excitement, drama and most of all the gentlemanly camaraderie shown today even amongst rival teams.
Vive la tour...see you next year.

PS I should be back in time for the Vuelta so I'm IN!

It wasn't just Moscon either, Poels was erratic and Kwiatkowski was nowhere to be seen. After Rowe got thrown out it was pretty much Castroviejo, Van Baarle, the occaisional bit from Poels, and G helping Bernal.
Looks as though the Sky train finished with a change of name. Mind you they'll have Carapaz next year and Jumbo-Visma will have Dumoulin.

Blimey, Ewen has been a revelation. Always knew he was fast but looks as though he is the fastest after all.
It was sweet when Bernal met up with his family at the finish, that was obviously his little bro as they look identical.

Moscon seems to be going to shit after being very promising a few years back. No form, bad behaviour. Offered nothing this tour.

Re: Fantasy Tour de France 2019
Bernal, Carapaz, Sivakov, Moscon and TGH

Ineos set for the next 7-8 years.

Only the two Yates and a fully recovered Chavez can stop them.

Re: Fantasy Tour de France 2019
I think the top three were all quite content once they'd dropped Alaphilippe. You'd have thought Buchman would have had a go at getting on the podium though.

Disappointing end to what could have been an excellent tour.

Bit crap wasn’t it. I suppose no one had anything left to challenge.

It's only just started! This race will likely be further shortened by the sounds of it.

Seem to be going for it early though.

Re: Fantasy Tour de France 2019
59k probably ain't enough road and the last climb isn't a big enough gradient to dislodge either of the Ineos riders. In fact it should suit Thomas quite nicely. It's a shame the tour has ended like this, it had been shaping up to be an excellent finish.

The moment I felt me and my best mate, who is a Frog, really connected was when I told him I was totally baffled by what was going on in the people participating in the Tour de France, let alone all the media attention.

Yes, he shrugged and said he had no idea.

My fantasy tour of France involves a lot more wine than this shit.

Re: Fantasy Tour de France 2019
What a mad day!
Alaphillipe still has a chance as tomorrows stage is now shortened to 59km, 70km or so shorter because of weather alerts.
So it'll either be a mad epic day or Ineos will baton down the hatches.

Vexed 11:22 Fri Jul 26
Re: Fantasy Tour de France 2019
They've reduced tomorrow's stage to 59km, fucking joke.

It's either going to be absolute carnage or a non event. Probably the second one.

Re: Fantasy Tour de France 2019
I don't think it is yet.
Bernal looks strong but Jumbo-Visma, Movistar (no suprise Quintana cracked again) and Deceuninck-Quickstep still have it all to play for.
The final climb is 33km long and absolutely suits Geraint Thomas down to the ground. A lot can happen in 33km. Also the stage starts going up and piles straight into a nasty Cat 1 climb, it'll kick off early.
